Plan for where buyers are going, not where they were.
More buyers now start in ChatGPT, Gemini, or Perplexity, and most marketing plans were built for how search worked last year. Knowing what changed is the easy part. The harder work is reading where your buyers and the AI engines are headed, and building a plan for six months from now.
Getting found is only half of it. When a buyer clicks through from an AI answer, your site has to carry forward the experience that answer started, earn their trust, and make it easy to book a call or reach out.
Getting found, then getting chosen
Two things decide whether you grow: getting found by the right people and the AI engines answering for them, then carrying that attention through the buyer journey to a decision. Most companies hand these to separate vendors. I treat them as one connected problem.
Show up as the answer, not just a result.
ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google's AI Overviews now decide who gets considered before anyone compares options. AEO and GEO (generative engine optimization) get you found, cited, and recommended there. It starts with a category question: are you positioned where your buyers are actually asking?
Strategies can include:- Category and positioning audits that start with the frame, then the keywords
- Content briefs to get cited and quoted by AI answer engines
- Technical setup so AI engines and search can actually read your site
Keep the people you worked to attract.
Your ad, email, or AI answer earns the click. Then buyers land on a page that doesn't deliver on it, or a homepage where they have to hunt for what caught their eye. The journey stalls right where it should pick up.
Strategies can include:- Buyer journey audits and landing page reviews that show where interest drops off
- Message-to-page alignment, so the click and the page tell the same story
- User testing and iteration that show how real buyers move, and keep them moving toward a decision
- CMS and content workshops that help your team build pages and write content that converts buyers and gets cited by AI engines

B2B teams at every stage of growth
I have worked with B2B companies at all three of these stages, and I take on the same range today. No two engagements look alike. The strategy is built around your vertical, your buyers, and the revenue goals you are accountable for.
Seed through Series C
Young companies often launch into a category more crowded than it looks. I help startup teams find the blue ocean moments: the positioning, buyer questions, and AI answers no one owns yet. Then I build the journey that turns that attention into revenue.
Strategy, right-sized
Mid-market teams carry real revenue goals with a small marketing team. I bring strategy for AEO and the buyer journey, plus specialists for the execution, scaled to what the work actually needs.
Many stakeholders, long journeys
Enterprise decisions take months and involve a committee. I map where each decision maker looks for answers and where the journey loses them, then work alongside your internal teams and partners to fix it.
I think like someone who owns the number.
I spent a decade as a top performer inside B2B and B2C agencies, carrying revenue goals, building a new service line, and coaching teams to measurable growth. Every recommendation I make ties back to pipeline. A few results from across my career:
I helped build the offering, scoping model, SOW templates, and QBR framework, then brought on its first clients. It is now a differentiator for the agency.
14 of 18 decided proposals won in one year across new and existing clients, representing 91% of the proposal dollars on the table.
Across 33 deals in 18 months, while staying hands-on with the client work.
Closed-won revenue up 44% year over year, with $2.9M in new pipeline in eight months, more than all of the previous year.
A team that beat the number
Built a new sales team that hit 362% of its quarterly goal in Q1 2022 and 186% in Q2, growing new recurring revenue 27% year over year.
A record start
Set a company record for the fastest new-hire close at a firm where fewer than 60% of new hires pass onboarding. Then brought in $588K in net-new recurring revenue for the agency in five months.
A decade of closing
Top-10 consultant out of 80, three years running, and 43% more new monthly revenue than peer reps as a senior account executive.
Results reflect my work in prior agency roles. Outcomes vary by company, market, and starting point.
Strategy up front, specialists where they count.
Strategy, direct
From the first call to the final readout, the person who understands your business is the one shaping the work.
Specialists, as needed
When the work calls for design, development, analytics, or content production, I scope it tightly and bring in a vetted, senior subject-matter expert, never a junior bench learning on your account.
A retainer tied to your number
Your retainer covers my strategy, scoped to the pipeline and revenue goals you own and measured by pipeline and conversions. When the work calls for a specialist, it is scoped as its own project, so you approve every investment before it starts.
The person doing the work
I started my career as a social worker, and it still shapes how I work. Thirteen years of listening for what people actually need turns out to be most of what good customer research is. My sales career began in 2013 as a client advisor at a BMW dealership. From there I spent a decade in B2B, B2C, and SaaS marketing, from selling to leading strategy at digital agencies. I hold a psychology degree from the University of Nebraska.
I'm based in Fort Collins, Colorado, and I travel when the plan calls for an embedded partnership. I work with B2B companies that want a straight read on what is working, what isn't, and what to fix first.
